Shannon Carroll, a 2012 graduate of Rosemount High School and a current graduate student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis., helped her soccer team win the Midwest Conference Tournament last weekend. The win earned the team a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Shannon is co-captain and a four year starter on team. On Nov. 6, Carroll University played St. Norbert College in the semi-finals of the Midwest Conference Tournament. Shannon’s primary task during that game was to defend a St. Norbert’s player who is the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division III history. Shannon held her scoreless, and Carroll University won the game, 3-1.

The following day, Carroll University defeated Knox College 1-0 in overtime to win the tournament.
