The Rosemount boys hockey team put an end to its four-game losing streak by splitting a pair of South Suburban Conference games last week.

The Irish opened the week by doubling up Apple Valley on the road 6-3 last Thursday. They had Burnsville on the ropes Saturday at Rosemount Community Center, but the Blaze overcame a 2-0 deficit to force overtime and then scored in the final minute of OT to escape with a 3-2 win.

Griffin Lanoue accounted for both goals in the first period against Burnsville. Goaltender Nick Hart made 37 saves.

Charlie Weiand and Justin Polak each found the net twice at Apple Valley. Peyton Norder and Garret Jagoe each added goals.

The Irish (10-11) are back on the ice tonight at home against Eagan before closing out the regular season Saturday at Lakeville South.
