Kenyon-Wanamingo finished off the regular season on an eight-match winning streak, the last of which came 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) over Pine Island on Tuesday.
Ally Peterson had 13 kills for the Knights, with Maddie McCauley and Madi Luebke each handing out 11 assists. Peterson also led the team with nine digs.
Regan Bushman had a team-high four kills for the Panthers, while Megan Quintero had nine digs.
K-W (19-7) earned the No. 1 seed in the Sub-section 2AA South tournament, and will open postseason play on Tuesday against either fourth-seeded Tri-City united (7-18) or fifth-seeded Waseca (9-11). Pine Island (8-15) plays in the Rochester Century Tournament Friday and Saturday, and the seeds for the Sub-section 1AA West tournament have not been announced, though it is likely the Panthers will be on the road in the first round on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Hayfield 3, Cannon Falls 0
Cannon Falls dropped its final game of the regular season on Tuesday, falling 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-21) to Hayfield.
Tatum Pickar finished with 31 digs, while Kara Loeschke had 23 assists, nine digs and six kills for the Bombers. Anja Black had a team-high 12 kills, with Shayla Hustad adding 10 kills.
Cannon Falls (15-13) now awaits seeding for the Sub-section 1AA West tournament that begins Thursday, Oct. 26.
K-M 3, Lake City 1
Lake City fought to a fourth set on Thursday, but Kasson-Mantorville overpowered the Tigers for a 3-1 (25-16, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20).
Delaney Issendorf had 18 kills for Lake City, with Elyse Dalager running the offense to the tune of 38 assists.
Lake City (8-17) is on the cusp of a home match for the first round of the Sub-section 1AA West tournament. Seeding has not been done, and the tournament begins Thursday, Oct. 26.
Byron 3, Goodhue 2
Goodhue lost its 2-1 lead in the fourth set, and then lost the fifth in a 3-2 (25-9, 19-25, 22-25, 25-15, 15-11) loss to Byron on Tuesday.
Hannah Gadient had 11 kills for the Wildcats, and both Mariah Tipcke and Elise Tipcke had three ace serves. Mariah Tipcke had 25 assists and 20 digs, which was second on the team after Gadient's 29.
Sixth-seeded Goodhue (11-17) hosts 11th-seeded LeRoy-Ostrander on Monday in the opening round of the Sub-section 1A West tournament. The winner will play at third-seeded Medford on Thursday, Oct. 26.
