The Hastings Raiders gymnastics team ended its season Friday, Feb. 15, in Farmington at the Section 1AA meet. The Raiders finished seventh out of eight teams with a team score of 120.00 while the Section 1AA champions were Owatonna with a score of 147.025. Hastings took seventh in each of the four events as well with a 32.425 on vault, 26.800 on bars, 29.650 on beam and 31.125 for the floor exercise. Their top finisher was eighth-grader Kyra Bartholomew who finished 19th overall in the all-around with a score of 30.475. Below are the Raiders' scores and places for each event:

Following Bartholomew in the all-around was senior Kailee Greenough who took 21st with a score of 29.075.

On vault, Bartholomew took 25th with a score of 8.525. Sophomore Hailey Weber took 34th with an 8.250, Greenough was 36th with a score of 7.900, sophomore Annika Tverberg was 37th with a 7.750 and junior Erica Haas was 38th with a 7.550.

For the bar routines, junior Rachel Hughes led the way in 24th with a score of 7.450. Right behind her was Bartholomew in 30th with a 6,950 and eighth-grader Averi Nelson in 34th with a 6.500. Greenough took 36th with a score of 5.900 and Haas was right behind her in 37th with a 5.825.

Hughes and Greenough were Hastings' top finishers on beam, taking 27th and 28th with scores of 7.625 and 7.575 respectively. Tverberg was 31st with a score of 7.300, Haas was 34th with a 7.150 and Bartholomew took 36th with a 6.800.

Finally, on floor Bartholomew once again led the way with a score of 8.200, which was good for 24th. Hughes took 31st with a score of 7.875, Greenough was not far behind in 33rd with a 7.700, eighth-grader Jade Lindgren was 37th (7.350) and right behind her was freshman Madison Kennedy in 38th with a score of 7.250.

Greenough and fellow senior Hailie Roper are the only seniors who will graduate at the end of the spring and the Raiders will return almost all of their varsity contributors from this past season.
