New Life Academy 10, Minneapolis Edison 6

New Life Academy had an interesting game against Minneapolis Edison to start off the Section 4AA tournament. The game started on Tuesday, but the rain kept the two teams from finishing.

The game was moved to Wednesday until HealthEast Sports Center closed all fields because of the wet conditions. So the game was moved to Thursday, where the Eagles were able to stay in control and win 10-6 and advance to the next round.

New Life had some momentum heading into Thursday as the Eagles scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game up at 6-6. That confidence led New Life to score four more runs in the sixth inning and take home the victory.

Sam George and Noah Rodriguez both went 2-for-4 with two runs scored at the top of the lineup, while Matthew Maynard went 1-for-1 and had two RBI. Cooper Amon also recorded two RBI on the day.

New Life hosted No. 12 seed Nova Classical Academy on Friday after the Bulletin's deadline.

East Ridge 8, Rosemount 6

East Ridge ended the regular season on a five-game winning streak as the Raptors finished off Rosemount with an 8-6 victory on Thursday.

Ryan Thelen had a rocky start on the mound as he pitched four innings giving up six runs (four earned). He struck out five batters and allowed six hits.

Evan Molin and Zach Thompson came in to help Thelen and they combined for three innings giving up zero runs on one hit and one walk.

Offensively, Cam Hunter kept his rhythm going 1-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored. Roman Newinski and Max Moris each recorded two hits and one RBI in the game.

East Ridge will wait to see where the Raptors land in the section tournament regarding seeds as playoffs begin shortly.

Park 8, Bloomington Jefferson 2

Park ended its regular season with a win as the Wolfpack traveled to Bloomington Jefferson on Thursday and won 8-2.

Tuesday

East Ridge 12, Hastings 1

After a strong win on Monday, East Ridge continued its winning streak on Tuesday as the Raptors defeated Hastings 12-1.

Cam Hunter pitched all five innings giving up one run on four hits and he struck out seven batters. It was a home run parade for the Raptors as three different batters hit one over the fence.

Max Moris, Cam Hunter and Weber Neels each recorded a home run, while seven different players recorded an RBI in the game. Hunter had a big day going 3-for-3 with one RBI and three runs scored.

Joe Trollen led the team with three RBI as he went 2-for-3 with a run. It was a strong day from top to bottom in the batting lineup.

Monday

East Ridge 4, Forest Lake 2

Forest Lake tried making a comeback in the seventh inning, but East Ridge was able to grab a 4-2 win on Monday.

Blake Ritzer pitched a complete game giving up two runs on six hits and he struck out four batters.

Ben North and Joe Trollen helped the Raptors offensively with two hits each. North scored two runs, while Trollen collected one run. Tanner Stafne recorded two RBI, while Max Moris added an RBI.

White Bear Lake 5, Park 0

It was a tough loss for Park at home on Monday as the Wolfpack lost 5-0 to White Bear Lake.
