Over 200 runners took to the streets of River Falls for the annual River Falls Days 10K and 2-Mile races early Saturday morning July 12.

A pair of Wildcat cross country runners stole the show in the 2-Mile Run while a former Wildcat took the overall title in the 10K.

Sixteen year-old Grant Magnuson edged 31 year-old Shad Gausman of Hudson to win the overall 2-Mile title with a time of 10 minute, 31 seconds while 15 year-old Morgan Prigge won the women’s race in 14:24, six seconds ahead of 12 year-old Anna Weyer of Hudson.

Recent River Falls High School graduate Tyler Cernohous was the top overall finisher in the 10K with a time of 34:37, a full 1 minute, 40 seconds ahead of current Wildcat Mason Shea, while 50 year-old Jacquelyn Bowman of River Falls won the women’s title in 46:08. 

One hundred runners, 48 men and 52 women, competed in the 10K while 42 men and 69 women ran the 2-Mile. The average time in the 10K was 58:01 while the average in the 2-Mile was 22:10.
