The Class A No. 1-ranked Kenyon-Wanamingo volleyball team remained undefeated after a 3-0 win over Pine Island on Thursday.

The Knights won the first set 25-13, ran away with the second set 25-5, and finished off the sweep with a 25-16 win in the third set.

Ally Peterson led the way with 10 kills and seven digs for the Knights. Megan Mattson and Julianna Boyum each had seven digs. Boyum also added two blocks.

Kenyon-Wanamingo returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 10 against Kasson-Mantorville.

Randolph 3, Schaeffer Academy 0

Randolph earned a sweep of Schaeffer Academy on Parent Night.

The Rockets took advantage of some Lions mistakes in the first two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-16 respectively.

The Lions fought back in the third set, and the two teams traded points throughout the set. The Rockets finally regained momentum late in the set tied 25-25 to take the third 27-25.

Stewartville 3, Cannon Falls 0

Stewartville swept Cannon Falls 25-10, 25-10, 25-16.

Jaci Winchell paced the Bombers with 12 assists and eight digs. Shayla Hustad had eight kills and two blocks. Bree Robinson led the team with nine digs.

Cannon Falls next competes at the North St. Paul invitational on Saturday.

Triton 3, Goodhue 1

After losing the first two sets 25-19 and 25-20, Goodhue answered with a 25-17 win in the third set. The Cobras regained momentum and won the fourth set 25-16.

Torrie Rehder led the Wildcats with 24 kills. Hannah Gadient had a team-high 20 assists and added eight kills. Joslyn Carlson contributed 10 kills.

Goodhue next competes in a Hayfield invite on Saturday.

Kasson-Mantorville 3, Lake City 0

Lake City challenged Kasson-Mantorville in the second set, but fell just short. After losing the first set 25-12, the Tigers lost 26-24 in a close second set. The Tigers then fell 25-12 in the third set.

Delaney Issendorf led the Tigers with 11 kills. Eylse Dalager had nine assists and Hannah Grimm added seven assists. Morgan West finished with a team-high seven digs.

Lake City next hosts Red Wing on Monday, Sept. 9.

Tuesday

The Cannon Falls volleyball team swept Rochester Century on Tuesday, winning 25-23, 25-17, 27-25.

"Jaci Winchell did a nice job spreading the offense tonight giving multiple hitters the opportunity to score," head coach Melissa Huseth said. "It was fun to watch this team start strong and fight to the finish."

Winchell led the team with 29 assists. Bree Robinson has 16 digs while Makayla Bowen had 12 digs. Bowen also led the team with five aces. Madi Burr and Halle Hustad each had a team-high four blocks.

Hayfield 3, Pine Island 0

The Panthers fell in three sets to Vikings; 25-19, 25-12 and 25-21.

Paige Yetzer paced the Panther offense with 12 assists and two aces. Brooke Sinning added seven assists. Megan Leland led the team with 18 digs, while Mikkey Noll had 14 digs and Izzy Riley added nine digs. Bailey Dewitz had six kills, four assists and three digs for the Panthers.
