In the Dewey Minnaert Invitational in Hastings on Thursday, Red Wing senior Grace Johnson finished in second place among individuals.

Johnson ran the 5,000-meter race in 19 minutes, 37.08 seconds finishing behind the first-place runner, Halle Mestery of East Ridge.

Adi Fjetland also earned a top-5 finish, coming in fifth place with a time of 20:27.22. Grace Dube came in 13th place (21:36.45), Tori Leitner came in 17th (22:29.14) and Audrey Lahammer finished the race in the 21st (23:20.26).

On the boys' side, the Wingers came in seventh place as a team and top-finisher Daniel Byers earned 15th place with a time of 17:59.19. Dylan Anderson came in 28th (18:29.66), Noah Richardson came in 31st (18:37.72), Clayton Bennyhoff came in 52nd (19:56.46) and Hayden Wyatt finished in 56th (20:01.57).

Red Wing next competes in a Rochester Mayo invite on Sept. 12.
