After dropping the first two sets, the Red Wing volleyball team came back to win the next three sets. The Wingers gutted out a 3-2 win over Lake City Monday night.

The Tigers won the first two sets 25-19 and 25-21 respectively. The Wingers took the next three sets 25-23, 27-25 and 15-13.

Savannah Bryan paced the Wingers offense with a game-high 46 assists. Abi Deming and Emily Burow led the team with 17 kills, while Deming tallied a team-high 29 digs. Meg Grove had 12 kills and Madison Castner contributed seven blocks.

"Meg Grove played one of the best matches of her career, as did Abi Deming," Red Wing head coach Lindsay Woychek said. "Savannah Bryan distributed the ball well. Elle Brandt and Kennedy Knopp had some key plays off the bench. Tonight was an important team win for us."

Morgan West led the Tigers with 25 digs. Else Dalager had 23 assists, while Hannah Grimm had 21 assists.

Red Wing (3-4) next hosts Mankato West on Tuesday.
