The Woodbury gymnastics team lost 133.750-126.2 to Cretin-Derham Hall on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Woodbury High School.

Woodbury scored a 33.550 in the vault, a 28.850 on the bars, a 31.150 on the beam and a 32.650 in the floor exercise, but Cretin-Derham Hall won each event.

Woodbury seventh grader Ally Trebesch led the way for the Royals in the meet, taking second place in the all-around with a 34.050. Cretin-Derham Hall's Jessie Greiner won the all-around with a 35.825. Woodbury senior Maddy Haut earned third in the all-around with a 31.725. Trebesch took second in the floor exercise with an 8.725 and tied for second in the vault with a 9.1. Haut earned third in the floor exercise (8.35), tied for third in the vault with teammate Megan George ( 8.175) and took sixth on the beam (7.850).

Other top finishers for Woodbury included: junior Taylor Kugler, who scored a 7.95 in the floor exercise which earned sixth place and who tied for sixth on the bars (7.225), sophomore Tess Halada, who turned in a seventh-place finish on the beam (7.55) and sophomore Jillian Dudley, who tied for fifth in the vault (8.1).

Next, Woodbury has its final regular-season competition on Thursday, Feb. 7, at home. The meet is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
