Owen Anderson allowed just one hit in six innings of work but it resulted in the only run of the game as the Raiders dropped a 1-0 decision at Menomonie Tuesday, May 7.

Menomonie’s run came in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI single by pitcher Jace Kressin following a lead-off walk.

Hudson had five hits off Kressin but couldn’t push a run across as the Raiders struck out 14 times. They threatened in the third when David Miller led off with a single, moved to second on a sac bunt by Tyler Stubbendick and took third on a passed ball but was left stranded. Jack Erickson hit a one-out double in the sixth but couldn’t advance any further.

Ben Gilbert had two hits in the game and Erickson doubled while Miller and Matteo Bonin each had a single.

The Raiders and Menomonie will meet again Thursday, May 9, at 5 p.m. at Grandview Park.
