The Raider baseball team will take a five-game losing streak into the postseason after dropping its final two games of the regular season to Eau Claire Memorial 11-1 and 9-3 last week.

Hudson opened regional play Tuesday, May 28, as the No. 11 seed in the 12-team bracket against No. 6 Marshfield.

Last Tuesday at Eau Claire Memorial the Raiders, now 4-14 overall, got a run in the top of the first when Jack Erickson led off with a double before coming around to score on a passed ball. But they managed just one other hit, a third inning single by Jacob Mathes, while the Old Abes put the game away with six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Owen Anderson was taggled with the loss on the mound, allowing five runs, two earned, on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks in 4 2/3 innings.

Thursday at home the Raiders fell behind 9-0 before scoring three runs in the final two innings of a 9-3 loss.

Teddy Donna drove in all three Raider runs with an RBI single in the sixth and a two-run double in the seventh. Donna also pitched the final 3 2/3 innings in relief of starter Jonah Becken and allowed two earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts and four walks.
