Zach Sharpen (Lake City, sr., OF/P) All-Hiawatha Valley League, Team Mr. Hustle; .463 AVG, 31 H, 11 2B, 1 3B, 6 RBI, 16 SB, 4-1, 1.50 ERA, 26 K, 13 BB.

From head coach Perry Iberg: "Zach had an outstanding senior season offensively and on the mound. He was our top pitcher and led our team in average, hits, doubles, and stolen bases. He is a very skilled baserunner. Zach was named HVL all conference and voted as Mr. Hustle by the team. Zach is a three starter for the Tigers. Zach will be attending the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire."

 

Willy Holm​ (Zumbrota-Mazeppa, so., C/OF) All-Hiawatha Valley League; .387 AVG, .895 OPS, 29 H, 3 2B, 1 3B, 22 RBI, 14 R, 7 SB.

From head coach Mike Matuska: "Willy was a catcher and outfielder this spring and hit third in our line-up. He was a clutch hitter for us this spring, batting .455 with runners in scoring position and leading our team with 22 RBI. He improved as a catcher throughout the season and threw out seven runners in the 11 games he caught, while rarely allowing a wild pitch to get by him."

 

Ethan Schafer (Goodhue, jr., CF/P) All-Section 4A, All-Hiawatha Valley League; .338 AVG, .337 OBP, .412 SLG, 27 H, 4 2B, 1 3B, 11 RBI, 10 R, 9 SB.

From head coach Scott Christianson: "Ethan was a steady bat in the middle of the lineup all year. He consistently put the ball in play and came up with clutch hits in big situations. He was elite pitching in the reliever role and was second on the team with 48 strikeouts."

 

Riley Miller (Cannon Falls, so., P/1B) All-Hiawatha Valley League, Team MVP, Team Pitcher of the Year; 4-2, 1.47 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 50 K, 18 BB, 2 SV, .259 AVG, .933 OPS, 14 H, 4 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 12 RBI, 11 R, 1 SB.

From head coach Tyler Quinlan: "Riley is an extremely talented young player who simply does the necessary work in every situation. As a sophomore he anchored the offensive lineup as the three hitter the entire season. Aside from being a solid defensive player, Riley grew into a role as our best pitcher putting up great strikeout numbers and giving us a chance to win every time he took the mound. On top of all that he is an awesome young man with a very bright future."

 

Josh Matanich (Lake City, sr., 1B) All-Hiawatha Valley League; .393 AVG, 22 H, 4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 19 RBI, 2 SB.

From head coach Perry Iberg: "Josh was named HVL all conference for the third straight year and was also voted team MVP for the third straight year. Josh is a four year starter for the Tigers. He led the Tigers in RBI and walks as many teams pitched around him. Josh is also a very skilled first baseman and pitched a few innings this season. Josh will attending Luther College and participating in both football and baseball."

 

Carter Drazan (Pine Island, jr., 2B/3B/OF/P) All-Hiawatha Valley League; .358 AVG, .466 OBP, 34 H, 8 2B, 1 HR, 21 RBI, 24 R, 3 SB, 2-0, 3.21 ERA, 2 SV.

From head coach Dan Drazan: "Carter played a variety of positions for us this past season. We used him in the infield, outfield and on the mound. He was a constant in our lineup batting in the No. 3 spot all season on a team that had our struggles going 5-15 overall. Carter was recognized for his great season by being named to the HVL All Conference team by his fellow conference coaches. Carter will be leaned on as a leader for the 2020 season as the Panthers will have a number of players returning as they look to rebound from a rough 2019 campaign."

 

Matt Weber (Randolph, jr., P/2B) All-Southeastern Conference; .371 AVG, 7 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR, 4-0, 1.35 ERA, 1 SV.

From head coach Chris Stanton: "Matt had a great year after a sophomore slump. He is one of our top hitters and he is starting to become a great pitcher."

 

Zach Hutton (Zumbrota-Mazeppa, jr., SS) All-Hiawatha Valley League; .296 AVG, .820 OPS, 21 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 5 RBI, 23 R, 11 SB.

From head coach Mike Matuska: "Zach is a two year starter. He is our lead-off hitter and shortstop. He is a very good defensive shortstop who many times took a base hit away from the opposing team with a great defensive play. He was an excellent lead-off hitter and base runner scoring more than 60% of the time he reached base."
