Rice Lake had no answer for River Falls' sophomore Zac Johnson Friday night, Feb. 8.
Johnson hit 6-of-9 three-pointers and finished 10-of-15 from the field on his way to a 26 point night to lead the Wildcats to a 67-43 Big Rivers Conference win over the Warriors in Rice Lake.
Johnson hit four three-pointers in the first half as the Cats raced out to a 30-15 lead.
Adam Feyereisen had a double-double in the win with 16 points and 10 rebounds and also dished out six assists while Mike Johnson contributed six points and five rebounds. The Wildcats shot 62.8 percent from the field (27-of-43) while holding Rice Lake to 15 field goals on 40 attempts (37.5 percent). River Falls also outrebounded the Warriors 30-16.
The win kept the Wildcats tied for second place in the BRC with Eau Claire Memorial at 6-3, one game behind Hudson. The Cats, 12-5 overall, will visit Prescott for a nonconference game Monday, Feb. 11, before hosting Eau Claire Memorial Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7:15 p.m.
