The 2019 spring trap and skeet league seasons are now well underway. Hastings has made it through two practice weeks, a reserve score week and two competition weeks. The team has 126 trap shooters (89 male and 37 female) of which 39 are new, and 34 skeet shooters (28 male and six female) of which 16 are new. The Hastings teams are again the largest in the nation and now the world.

The Hastings trap team is in Class 9A Conference 2 and competes for five weeks against Albany, Bemidji, Farmington, Northfield, Owatonna, Pequot Lakes and Pine City. The skeet team is in Class 2A Conference 2 and also competes for five weeks against Cherry, Montevideo, Prior Lake, Sibley East, Spring Lake Park and Wayzata.

Over the course of the season so far, the following athletes have already shot a straight 25 in trap: Gavin Smith, Luke Nadeau, Duncan Kusant, Brad Route, Colin Wittenberg, Tanner Kordosky and Garrett Rother (who has two). For skeet are Kordosky, Tucker Herrmann and Rother.

Week 1 results

Hastings trap placed fifth out of seven teams with 16,790.50 points and first-place Bemidji had 23,085 points. Males with a Top 25 Season Average were Kordosky (24) tied for 11th and Adam Neisen (23.50) tied for 16th. Females were Jenna Anderson (21) and Julia Human (21) who were tied for 8th, Lauren Skov (20) tied for 16th and Taylor Merritt (19) tied for 22nd. Kordosky (24) also cracked the Top 100 Season Average Overall with a tie for 99th.

In skeet, Hastings placed third out of seven teams with 556 points behind first-place Wayzata with 632.50 points. Top 25 Season Average Overall for males included Logan Litschke (23) in 10th and Kordosky (22.50) in 22nd. For Conference Top 10 Season Average by Gender, for males there was Litschke (23) in fourth and Kordosky (22.50) in ninth. For females, Julia Human (19) took third, Allana Kielas (16.50) sixth, Jenna Anderson (15.50) ninth and Sydney Woodward (14) 10th. Litschke (23) placed 10th in the Top 10 Season Average Overall.

Week 2

After week two, Hastings trap stayed in fifth with 34,326 points following leader Bemidji with 43,490 points. Conference Top 25 Season Average for males were Kordosky (24.25) again in a tie for first and Neisen (23) tied for 15th. Females were Anderson (21.25) in 10th, Human (21) right behind her in 11th, Merritt (19.50) tied for 18th and Skov (18.75) tied for 25th. Kordosky (24.25) tied for 31st in the Top 100 Season Average Overall.

Hastings stayed in third for skeet with 1,146.50 points behind leader Wayzata with 1,297 points. Top 25 Season Average Overall male Kordosky tied for 18th (22.50) and also tied for seventh in Conference Top 10 Season Average by Gender. For females, Human (19.75) tied for first, Anderson (17.75) took fifth, Kielas (16) tied for seventh and Woodward (15.75) finished 10th. Human (19.75) also tied for 10th in Female Top 10 Season Average Overall.
