The Hastings High School skeet shooting team competed at the 2019 Minnesota State High School Clay Target League Class 2A Skeet Championship on June 20 in Prior Lake. More than 30 high schools teams featuring more than 300 student athletes competed over two days. Overall Hastings' 28 member team finished as runners-up out of 12 teams with a total of 460 points. The champions were Wayzata with 483 points.

Hastings had no novice shooters, 10 junior varsity shooters and 18 on varsity. Team high gun males were Taren Connel (84 out of 100) who tied for second on junior varsity and Tanner Kordosky (94 out of 100) who tied for ninth on varsity. High gun females were Allana Kielas (62 out of 100) who took fifth on junior varsity and Julia Human (73 out of 100) who finished fourth on varsity.

Individuals who shot 25 out of 25 were Joseph Brau, Mason Johnson, Brennen Kieffer, Benjamin McKinney and Cody Vieth (twice). For the first time ever the same male (Kordosky) and female (Human) were team high guns at both the trap and skeet state championships.
