Behind Morgyn Otte, the Randolph softball team shut out West Lutheran 5-0 on Friday in a Section 4A game.

Otte struck out 11 batters in a dominant complete-game victory.

Tied 0-0, the Rockets gave Otte some run support in the third inning. The Rockets had six straight hits to start the inning. Chloe Kimmes hit a solo home run. Otte singled, then Megan Erickson homered. Kenna Otte singled and Meredith Taylor drove her in on a single. Madelyn Taylor singled, but was stranded as the next three Rockets struck out.

The Rockets added an insurance run in the fifth on Lindsey Grant's sacrifice fly.

Randolph is scheduled to next play on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Northwestern College.
