Four Irish swimmers were named All-Americans for their efforts in the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay from this past fall season. Rosemount's Cassandra Hutchins, Anna Wenman, Macy Klein and Molly Urkiel made up the two relays that made it to the state tournament, as well as each qualifying for state individually as well. They recently received their awards at the end of June once all high school seasons around the country came to an end.

As a team the Irish took fourth at state last year. Hutchins was 11th in the 200 freestyle and 10th in the 500 freestyle. Wenman was seventh in the 200 individual medley and sixth in the 100 butterfly. Urkiel was 10th in the 200 individual medley and 11th in the 100 breaststroke, while Klein took eighth in the 50 freestyle and 11th in the 100 freestyle. The four took third in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays with their finals times qualifying them for All-American honors.

Hutchins and Klein graduated this past spring but the Irish will return both Wenman and Urkiel this upcoming fall.
