The Rosemount Irish girls' swimming and diving team competed in their Section 3AA preliminary races Wednesday evening at the Bluewater Aquatic Center in Apple Valley. All relays made it to the finals on Friday as well as swimmers in every event. Diving preliminaries take place Thursday evening. The top two swimmers/teams in each event, plus anyone under the qualifying standard time in the events. The top four divers in each section also qualify for the state meet. Below are those swimmers who qualified for the finals by event, the top eight relays and 16 swimmers in each event advanced.

200 medley relay: the team of Anna Wenman, Balor O'Donnel, Sophia Wallberg and Nicholle Miller took sixth with a time of 1 minute, 59.97 seconds.

200 freestyle: Taylor Barabash took fifth with a time of 1:57.27, Grace Urkiel finished 11th in 2:00.75 and Katherine Jacobson placed 14th (2:07.92).

200 individual medley: Molly Urkiel took second with a time of 2:10.66, Wenman finished sixth in 2:12.86 and O'Donnel placed ninth (2:15.56).

50 freestyle: Miller took eighth with a time of 25.39 and Skylar Newman finished 16th in 26.42.

100 butterfly: Wenman took first with a time of 59.41 and Wallberg finished 12th in 1:03.81.

100 freestyle: Barabash took second with a time of 53.72 and Miller finished 11th in 56.83.

500 freestyle: Kathleen Bartz took seventh with a time of 5:28.91, Hayley Ringhand finished 11th in 5:34.92 and Calli Maskel placed 15th (5:44.95).

200 freestyle relay: the team of Barabash, Newman, Maggie Hinderaker and Miller took fourth with a time of 1:46.23.

100 backstroke: Wallberg took 12th with a time of 1:04.86 and Bartz finished 15th in 1:05.30.

100 breaststroke: Molly Urkiel took first with a time of 1:07.28, Grace Urkiel finished eighth in 1:09.09, O'Donnel placed 14th (1:12.03) and Kylie Driscoll was 16th in 1:13.56.

400 freestyle relay: the team of Hinderaker, Barabash, Wallberg and Wenman took fourth with a time of 3:55.39.
