Woodbury High School announced on Wednesday, July 10, that Connor Ross will be the new head coach for the boys swimming and diving team, according to a press release from the Woodbury Athletics Department.
"We are very fortunate to have Connor as our next Boys Swim & Dive coach," said Woodbury activities director Marvin Wooten Jr. "Connor brings enthusiasm and passion for the sport and his ability to make connections with our student athletes has been a great asset to our school community. We are looking forward to Connor continuing the success of our program."
Ross is familiar with the South Washington County School District as he's been an assistant coach for the Woodbury boys swimming and diving team for the past three seasons. He's also been an assistant coach for the Park girls swimming and diving team for the past four seasons.
Along with his time with the two teams, he's been a swimming instructor for the South Washington County Public Schools.
Ross has grown up in this school district as he graduated from Park High School as a teenager and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to earn his degree in elementary education.
