The Hastings Tennis Association (HTA) is the recipient of a $10,000 grant by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Foundation "to support new and ongoing programming initiatives". The USTA announced the award in a press release this past week as part of a final round of grants for 2018 that totalled over $1 million.
The HTA is a non-profit organization and its mission is to "serve the community of Hastings by enhancing the social, academic and leadership skills of youth and by offering recreational and competitive tennis programs to both youth and adults to promote physical well being."
The Hastings Tennis Association puts on the annual Rivertown Days Tennis Tournament, offers lessons for the youth and adult levels as well as hosting numerous competitive opportunities and leagues. They also offer two scholarships each spring called the "HTA Men's and Women's League Scholarships" for those who have participated in their tennis leagues.
