The Hastings Raiders track and field program is sending its boys' 4x800-meter relay on to the Class AA state meet. The relay is made up of seniors Josh Lewanski and Griffin Myers, along with sophomores Jakub Youngstrom and Isaac Huntington. They took second with a time of 8 minutes, 9.89 seconds (8:09.89), just two seconds behind the winners from Lakeville South. The Raider boys' and girls' both took 10th at the very competitive meet, the boys scoring 32 points and finishing just four behind Rochester Mayo, while the girls were scored 29 and were just one behind Mayo.

Below are the Raiders who finished in the top 10 of their events:

Sophomore Liberty Larcholey took fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:01.30 and senior Katie Kuhn was ninth with a time of 1:03.71. Senior Miranda hanson finished third in the 300 hurdles in 46.52 and the 4x100 relay team of seniors Haley Klimek, Madeline McCabe and Cecilia Carlson and freshman Martha Vaughan placed 10th (52.40). Klimek, Kuhn, Carlson and Larcholey took eighth in the 4x200 with a time of 1:51.40 and the 4x400 team of Klimek, Kuhn, Larcholey and Hanson were ninth in 4:19.95. Also taking 10th were freshmen Avery Daley and Linnea Hanson, and sophomores Emily Biscoe and Reilly Johnson on the 4x800 relay team with a time of 10:31.79.

Senior Josie Pechous was fifth in the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet and right behind her was freshman Molly Vaughan in sixth with the same height. Senior Emily Weldon took eighth with a vault of 9-06. Senior Krystal Carlson placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 39-07 and was seventh in the discus with a throw of 115-08. Junior Jessica Davison was just ahead of her in sixth with a throw of 122-10.

Huntington took ninth in the 800 with a time of 2:06.83 and senior David Nogle finished seventh in the 1,600 (4:35.53) and the 3,200 (10:06.26). The 4x100 relay team of junior Noah Kullmann, freshman Stephaun Fitzpatrick and seniors Nathan Miller and Josh McKinney took 10th in 46.47, while the 4x200 team of senior Avonte Bailey, sophomore Beau DuRand, Kullmann and junior Amar Thomas finished seventh (1:34.26). Kullmann, Lewanski, Huntington and sophomore Daniel Brown made up the 4x400 team that took sixth in 3:33.96.

Senior Vova Tipler took fourth in the pole vault with a vault of 12-00, fellow senior Jack Tousignant placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 45-4.50 and third in the discus (143-04), and senior Sawyer Levos took sixth in the discus with a throw of 138-03.
